- Phase 3 faster messaging architecture
- Numerous fixes and updates for greater stability
Like any trip along a highway, you get bottlenecks at certain points. Giving cars the space to travel faster does not necessarily mean they get there faster if everyone else is also trying to do the same thing. Fortunately, in the digital world, we can fix that.
As a part of our ‘pedal to the metal’ initiative to make the app as fast as possible, we optimized the processing side of things in version 5.1; our app’s ability to receive messages faster is only hampered by its ability to display them faster on your device.
So in this release, we looked at all the crucial points where the app could slow down your workflow. In other words, anywhere you have to wait for us to load something – the Inbox, a conversation, your settings – and dramatically cut down on the amount of time it takes to do that.
This is a significant upgrade to our app, and we’re quite happy with the results. It’s like adding a supercharger to a V8. And just because it needs to be said, no, we don’t condone speeding.
