Conversation Settings have a new and improved look that make it easier to navigate the handy info and controls for your conversations. On these redesigned pages for group or one-to-one conversation threads you’ll also find a link to an exciting new feature: the Attachments Page. This new page lists all the attachments recently posted to your conversation. (Note: attachments here still expire according to your message lifespan settings.)
We’re also changing the layout for the Groups Menus, we’ve divided Groups and Broadcast Lists onto separate tabs. This should reduce confusion in cases where you might have Groups and Broadcast Lists both with similar names.
When you need to send your colleague a message but you can’t remember the person’s name, now you can search by Title or by Department to track them down. Remember the new Coordinator in Human Resources? Was it Jim? Or Tim? Or… Mary-Anne? Well definitely the Coordinator from Human Resources, anyway.
Ever need to know which co-workers are online right now and which ones are out to lunch (literally, not figuratively, of course)? It will now be much easier to tell, with new green indicators in the Directory to show which users are currently active.
Smartphones contain a lot of stuff. So being able to find the stuff you need when you need it is kind of a big deal. Enter Spotlight Search. Whether you’re looking to open an app or a file or find a contact by name, Spotlight Search is one of the fastest routes to what you need. And now you can find your TigerText conversations in a Spotlight Search by searching using a Contact’s name.
For example, if you wanted to jump right back into the last conversation you were having with Felicia, simply search for “Felicia” and tap the TigerText result to open your conversation with Felicia Yang, Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine.
If you’re not familiar with Spotlight Search on an iOS device, you can find it by swiping down anywhere on the home screen, then use the search box that pops up at the top of the screen.
If you have an iPhone 6s, we know you are itching to break out of your 2-dimensional routine and give Apple’s new 3D Touch a spin. With iOS 5.4 we’re adding our first pressure-sensitive interaction by making it easier to jump into TigerText with a “Quick Action” menu.
Now you can pick up where you left off in your most recent conversation with a single tap. You can also enable Do Not Disturb Mode, or jump right into composing a new message, without navigating through the app.
To access the Quick Action menu, press the app icon just a little bit harder than normal and choose which TigerText destination you would like to reach in one accelerated step.
We have good news for multitaskers: with this latest release, we are adding support for Split-Screen Mode on the iPad. You will now be able to use TigerText right beside another app, for example an EHR, an email client, or a web browser. Instead of switching back and forth between apps, you can easily copy-paste information into a message on the same screen.
To enable split-screen view, swipe left from the right edge of the screen to bring up a carousel of other apps you can open. Once you have TigerText and another app open, you can press on the black divider in-between them and drag it left or right to change the screen ratio dedicated to one or the other. Currently, this iOS feature will only work on an iPad Air 2.
